Join us again for a weekend of laid back canoeing and camping in 2019! By request, we are going to the beautiful lakes in the Halen Nature Reserve on the border of Skåne and Blekinge.
MEETING PLACE AND TIME
We will meet in Halens Camping och Stugby in Olofström, Sweden on Friday at 18:00. For those who are taking public transportation there is a connection from Copenhagen Central Station towards Karlskrona Centralstation at 14.47 with change to bus in Bromölla. We will leave from Olofström Sunday evening at app. 18:00 - expect to be back at Copenhagen Central Station at around 21:00 if you are taking bus and train.
THE ROUTE
We will set out Saturday morning from Olofströms Fritidsklubbs Kanotcentral in the East by Lake Halen and sail via the various lakes and land passages to Lake Immeln in the West (app. 25 km). We will spend the night in one of the shelter sites there, e.g. Breanäs eller Kvinnöarna. On Sunday, we will sail back to Olofström. There should also be plenty of time for scenic pauses, playing games and chitchatting.
FOOD AND ACCOMODATION
We will spend the first night at Halens Camping och Stugby. On Saturday evening, we will camp in one of the many shelter sites near Lake Immeln as described above.
We can cook together or you can bring your own food. There is an ICA Maxi supermarket in Olofström where we can buy supplies when we arrive.

PRICE AND SIGNUP
There is no fee for the trip, but you must sign up here in Klubmodul. Apart from that, you must book and pay for the following yourself:
- Train + bus ticket to Olofström and back. It is easiest to download the “Skånetrafikens Resaplaneraren” app and buy tickets there (valid for both train and bus). If you are two adults buying a duo-ticket together, there is a 10 % discount – app. 340 DKK per person for both ways. Please note that since Olofström is outside of Skåne, it is not the usual Skånetrafiken app but the “Skånetrafikens Resaplaneraren”.
- Accommodation at Halens Camping och Stugby. Options range from sleeping in your tent to a single room in the hostel or sharing a spacious or less spacious cabin. Price range is app. 200-400 DKK.
- Canoe and equipment. Since a canoe is made for two, please pair up with someone from the participant list on Facebook or Klubmodul to book and pay for a canoe with. It does not necessarily mean you have to share a canoe with that person, we can always switch it up, it is just to make sure everybody booked a seat and that all canoes are filled up.
If you do not have rest and cooking equipment, it is possible to pay for a premium package (Kanotpaket "Maxi" Dygn) that includes this. The premium package is app. 365 DKK per person for the whole weekend, the basic package (Hyr kanot dygn) is app. 300 DKK if you add a canoe cart, which will be necessary. There is also a weekend package mentioned, but it seems it is not available to purchase at the moment. Maybe it will be when the season starts.

CHECK LIST
- Sign up in Klubmodul.
- Buy tickets in the app “Skånetrafikens Resaplaneraren” if you are taking public transportation.
- Book accommodation at Halens Camping och Stugby (alone or together with other participants)
- Book your canoe together with someone else, either premium package (Kanotpaket "Maxi" Dygn) or basic package (Hyr kanot dygn). Remember to add a canoe cart (kanotvagn) if you choose the basic package (Hyr kanot dygn). In either case, remember to book for 2 days from 30 August.
